Combat the Effects of Ground Heave on 

Foundations and Slabs. Ground heave 

is primarily caused by the rehydration 

of clay or expansive shale soils, 

overburden recovery resulting from 

deep excavations, mining or trees and 

vegetation. 

  The Pecafil® formwork elements can be used 

universally for many purposes, above all as formwork for foundations and ribbed slabs as well as sheeting for building pits. It is also suitable in the transparent version for weather, dust and protection screens.The material is available in different thicknesses. Thanks to its light weight it is easy to lay by hand. The elements can be shortened and adapted on the building site using simple tools. Pre-configuration of the formwork system in our factory is possible. Pecafil®permanent formwork is environmentally 

friendly, groundwater-neutral and recyclable. 

  All Swiftform panels are steel reinforced to give added strength and are made to your exact specification. A full take off service is provided from site drawings Swiftform is cost effective and easy to install. It can be used on groundbeams, pile caps & many more applications. It replaces timber shuttering and provides less concrete waste.

Claylite is a green coloured low density 

expanded polystyrene compressible fill 

board, which acts to absorb movement 

between ground and concrete foundations

to alleviate pressure on structures caused

by clay heave, shrinkage or other soil 

movement.

Pile collars are an effective solution to 

maintain ground heave protection around 

complex pile areas. The use of pile collars

together with Pecavoid and Claylite, 

will maintain a clear void and prevent the 

effects of clay heave.
